Founded in 1900, Erith Yacht Club is on a wide stretch of the tidal River Thames, within easy distance of London and the M25. Its aims are simple: to provide an affordable sailing venue for all ages and abilities, and to encourage the development of sailing skills through in-house training and sailing programmes.

With an impressive clubhouse, new workshops and storage facilities, pontoon, and training boats, the club offers enhanced sailing and training under the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training scheme. New members are always welcomed, and encouraged to become involved in all club activities.
The Clubhouse and bar are open on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons, when members are on hand to welcome visitors.  The views from the bar area extend of the river, allowing those not taking part to watch the club's sailing events in comfort. A social programme closely ties in with the on-the-water schedule of events too.
